What it means to be
part of Ophaelia.

Ophaelia is operated by Maison Lisette Ltd, registered in England and Wales. When you join Ophaelia, you are entering into an agreement with us. These terms explain what we expect from you, and what you can expect from us.

Ophaelia is a private membership for women. By joining, you confirm that you are 18 or over and that you are joining as an individual, not on behalf of a brand, agency, or organisation. We reserve the right to remove any account that exists to observe, extract, or commercially exploit the community rather than participate in it.

Membership is personal and non-transferable. Your account is yours. Please do not share your login details. Membership is billed monthly or annually depending on the plan you chose at signup. You can cancel at any time from your account page. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period. We do not offer refunds for unused time within a billing period except where required by UK consumer law. Payment is processed by Stripe. We never see your full card details.

Ophaelia is built on trust. We expect you to participate honestly and with care for the women around you. We ask that you do not: Share screenshots or content from inside Ophaelia publicly without the explicit permission of the member who created it. Post content that is harmful, discriminatory, or intended to distress other members. Use Ophaelia to promote products, services, or agendas without our knowledge and consent. Attempt to identify anonymous members or share information that could reveal their identity to others. Use any part of Ophaelia for commercial research, data harvesting, or competitor analysis. We take these seriously. Breaching them may result in your membership being suspended or permanently removed. We will always try to speak to you before taking action.

We will always be honest about how Ophaelia works and how your data is used. We will never sell your data or use it to target you with advertising. We will protect your anonymity when you choose it. We will listen when something is not right. Ophaelia is a growing platform. Features may change, improve, or occasionally break. We will communicate clearly when anything significant changes.

When you post in Ophaelia, whether in The Gathering, Salons, Brainstorm, Finds, or the Black Book, you retain ownership of what you write. By posting, you give Ophaelia a licence to display that content to other members within the platform. We will never publish your words outside Ophaelia without your permission.

Everything that makes Ophaelia what it is, the design, the Sunday Brief format, the phase system, the copy, the structure, is owned by Maison Lisette Ltd. You are welcome to be inspired by it. You may not copy or reproduce it.

Ophaelia is a community and information platform. Nothing shared here, by us or by other members, constitutes medical, legal, or financial advice. Please use your own judgement and consult a professional for anything that requires one. We are not liable for the content posted by members. We moderate with care but cannot review everything. If you see something that concerns you, please contact us at hello@ophaelia.com and we will take it seriously.

You can cancel your membership at any time. We can suspend or end a membership that breaches these terms. If we ever need to close Ophaelia, we will give members as much notice as possible and handle your data with the same care we always have.

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

If we make significant changes to these terms, we will let you know by email before they take effect. Continuing to use Ophaelia after that point means you accept the updated terms.
