PRIVACY POLICY

What we do with
what you share.

Ophaelia Ltd — United Kingdom

What we collect

Name, email address, password (encrypted), cycle phase and life stage (you provide these, you can update them anytime), the recommendations and contributions you make inside Ophaelia, subscription and billing information (handled by Stripe — we never see your full card details). We collect your approximate location only when you ask us to show you nearby events. We never store it.

Google Calendar integration

Ophaelia offers an optional Google Calendar connection. You do not have to use it. If you do, here is exactly what happens. We request read-only access to your primary calendar. That means we can see your events. We cannot create, edit or delete anything. We use what we see solely to personalise your Sunday Brief and your daily dashboard. To notice when your week looks full. To notice when you have space. We never share your calendar data with other members. We never use it for advertising. We never will. We store an access token and a refresh token to maintain the connection. Both are encrypted. We hold event summaries temporarily when generating your Brief. We do not keep a permanent copy of your calendar events. You can disconnect at any time from your profile settings. When you do, we revoke your tokens and delete everything immediately. You can also revoke access directly from your Google Account at myaccount.google.com/permissions. Ophaelia's use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

What we never do

We never sell your data. We never share your cycle or health information with any third party. We never use your data for advertising. We never allow brands to target you based on anything you share in Ophaelia. We never will.

How we use what you share

To personalise your Sunday Brief, your Black Book recommendations and your calendar to where you actually are in your cycle and your life. To communicate with you about your membership. To improve Ophaelia based on how it is used in aggregate — never individually.

Your rights

You can access all your data anytime from your account page. You can update or delete it. You can cancel your membership and request full deletion of your account and data at any time by emailing support@ophaelia.com. We will action deletion requests within 14 days.

Cookies

We use only essential cookies — the ones that keep you logged in and remember your preferences. No advertising cookies. No tracking cookies. No third-party cookies.

Anonymous posting

When you post anonymously in The Gathering, Brainstorm, or Salons, your identity is protected from other members. Ophaelia can see who you are — this is necessary for community safety. We treat this information with absolute discretion and share it with no one outside the Ophaelia team.

Data storage

Your data is stored securely in the European Union via Supabase. Encrypted at rest and in transit. Ophaelia Ltd complies with UK GDPR.
